Limitless Energy: How to Detox Toxic Metals to End Exhaustion and Chronic Fatigue by Wendy Myers
Location 176:
Most people today are mineral deficient due to stress, bad diets and a nutrient deficient food supply. You need minerals for your body to work – to make enzymes, copy your DNA (without cancerous mutations), promote cellular metabolism and conduct nerve impulses – yet many overlook this simple strategy. When you don’t have adequate minerals, naturally your body cannot function optimally and you feel tired (and sick) all the time.
Location 190:
When the body is deficient in minerals, it is forced to use heavy metals to do certain jobs in the body. Thus, mineral deficiencies promote heavy metal toxicity. Minerals are preferred, but for many the body is forced to use heavy metals to produce enzymes and repair the body.
Location 293:
Arsenic is a metal that poisons enzymes that transport nutrients into mitochondria. And without the proper nutrients, you’re simply not going to be able to produce the energy levels your body is capable of.
Location 297:
In addition to affecting mitochondrial enzymes, arsenic directly affects muscle and muscle fibers, causing severe fatigue (1). Those arsenic-affected muscles not only have decreased resistance to fatigue, but also a decreased ability to recover from fatigue.
Location 310:
Metals play a big role in slowed metabolism, cellulite accumulation, and resistant weight loss. So you have many more benefits to detoxing metals than limitless energy!
Location 312:
Aluminum is the most common metal in the earth’s crust. As a result, everyone is aluminum toxic. It’s everywhere. Aluminum is used to manufacture beverage cans and cookware. It’s added to flour, salt and sugar, and municipal water sources. We are exposed to aluminum through drinking water, food, inhalation, and pharmaceuticals like vaccines.
Location 324:
chronic fatigue syndrome. Tin destroys the charge on the outside of your mitochondria – your cell’s powerhouses that make your body’s energy. If there is no charge on the outside of the mitochondria, they cannot make adequate levels of energy.
Location 333:
Thallium is an extremely toxic metal that reduces our ability to produce energy and contributes to adrenal fatigue. Thallium is in fact ten times more toxic than mercury. Thallium is added to gasoline and released into the air by car exhaust. That is why thallium toxicity is extremely prevalent in those who live in urban environments.
Location 338:
A 2006 study found that the cruciferous family of vegetables – kale, cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli – to be hyper-accumulators of thallium, with kale being particularly potent in thallium, even when the soil it was grown in was low in thallium. The reason behind this is still unknown, but one current hypothesis is that organic kale is higher in sulfur, which is known to attract thallium (8). But you don’t want to avoid these vegetables! You just need to learn how to detox the thallium.
Location 343:
Thallium is a potent mitochondrial poison. It enters mitochondria passively and then causes the mitochondria to swell by accumulating inside. That then causes a decrease in energy (ATP) production and increases in reactive oxygen species formation, glutathione oxidation, and decreases dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain (9, 10).
Location 346:
Thallium poisoning causes extreme and unrelenting fatigue. It blocks potassium channels in the body and causes so many different problems as a result.
Location 402:
Metals attack mitochondria in two ways: They weaken or prevent ATP production. They impair the antioxidant systems. Mitochondria have their own antioxidant defense systems such as superoxide dismutase and glutathione, along with its derivatives glutathione disulfide, glutathione peroxidase, and glutathione reductase.
Location 406:
Metals are one of the body’s primary sources of oxidative stress to the body.
Location 437:
In the United States, the average adult ingests 7–9mg aluminum each day, mainly through food, air, and drinking water (1). This amount is shocking! And over time this adds up to so much neurotoxic aluminum, that it’s not surprising that roughly 50% of the US population eventually suffers from some form of dementia later in life.
Location 445:
brain diseases and dementia by producing oxidative stress and aluminum is one of the worst offenders.
Location 448:
Toxic metals, like aluminum, replace nutrient minerals in enzyme binding sites. Minerals do certain jobs in the body.
Location 452:
Aluminum impairs your body’s ability to excrete mercury by impeding your glutathione production – your body’s master antioxidant. Glutathione is your most important intracellular detoxifier, required for reversing oxidative stress. So if your aluminum load is high, your body will potentially become more toxic from the mercury from, say, vaccines and fish, because you are now on “aluminum overload” and your detoxification system no longer functions well.
Location 480:
Nervous system. Aluminum reduces nervous system activity by blocking the electrical discharge of nerve cells. This metal also hinders enzymes in the brain (Na-K-ATPase and hexokinase) and may also block the absorption of important chemicals, such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and 5-hydroxytryptamine, by nerve cells (6).
Location 482:
Behavioral effects. Aluminum toxicity may lead to memory loss, dementia, loss of coordination, confusion, and even disorientation (6).
Location 484:
Digestive system. Aluminum contaminates a great amount of our food, so it’s no surprise that it also affects our digestive system. Toxicity due to aluminum reduces intestinal activity, which may then cause colic. Aluminum is also used in many antacids, so be careful reaching for those Tums! (6)
Location 500:
Aluminum radicals deplete mitochondrial iron content, which leads to generation of free oxygen radicals (8). Aluminum toxicity can also cause cell death because of the free radicals generated by aluminum itself.
Location 505:
When it comes to detoxing aluminum, you can’t do any better than oligomeric silica. This ingredient is found in a hair, skin and nail product called Activated Silica (as Choline-Stabilized Orthosilicic Acid).
Location 507:
Choline-Stabilized Orthosilicic Acid binds to hard-to-detox metals like aluminum and helps eliminate them from the body when other products fail. That’s why I recommend Activated Silica above all other silica products out there.
Location 513:
After Activated Silica, the most important supplements for detoxing aluminum are modified citrus pectin, N-acetyl Cysteine (NAC), Vitamin C, glutathione, R-lipoic acid and curcumin. Let’s take a closer look at each of these amazing detoxifiers.
Location 515:
citrus pectin is a complex polysaccharide derived from the pulp and the peel of citrus fruits. It is modified by means of pH and temperature treatment, which breaks it into shorter pectin chains that are more readily absorbed and used by the body (10, 11).
Location 518:
There are many brands of modified citrus pectin, but I like CitriCleanse by EcoNugenics because it’s the only one with research behind it to prove that it has the benefits it claims.
Location 521:
CitriCleanse absorbs almost all metals and many chemicals, making it one of the most powerful natural binders that help to detox the body. I take it daily. You want to take about 5mg per day an hour away from food, supplements, and medications. You don’t want it absorbing them!
Location 536:
NAC is a powerful metal-binding compound and detoxifier of aluminum (13). It serves as a precursor to the body’s natural production of glutathione, an essential antioxidant, which may work to fight off free radicals that could otherwise damage your cells.
Location 541:
You need about 1200mg per day between meals. I personally like Pure Encapsulations NAC.
Location 548:
Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric and helps to detox aluminum.
Location 555:
Lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that is vital to detoxing toxic metals, including aluminum.
Location 558:
Life Extension Super Lipoic Acid is shown to be 20-30 times more effective than Alpha Lipoic Acid!
Location 579:

Location 583:
Mercury in our environment is contributing to countless chronic health problems today, especially for those who: Eat fish or shellfish at least twice weekly Has ever had mercury amalgam fillings Get vaccinations
Location 592:
There are three different kinds of mercury classifications (1): Organic (methylmercury): Methylmercury is naturally occurring and bioaccumulates in the environment, especially in fish. As a result, most human exposure to organic mercury comes from eating fish (2, 3, 4). Inorganic: Inorganic mercury can be found in products such as disinfectants and fungicides (3). Elemental mercury: This is form of mercury is a metallic, silvery liquid and what you would find in a thermometer (3). It’s also found in dental mercury amalgam fillings (2). According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, elemental mercury, “is a potent neurotoxin that impacts the central nervous system” (3).
Location 613:
Two things to note: the organ most affected my mercury is the brain and children suffer the most from mercury-related disorders.
Location 646:
The major sources of mercury exposure for humans are fish and seafood. In particular, large fish that eat smaller fish concentrate mercury up to one million times in their body fat and other tissues. Tuna fish is the most widely enjoyed toxic fish. The large migratory fish have much more mercury than the small fish like anchovies, which accumulate very little.
Location 659:
Shellfish, including clams, mussels, oysters, lobster and shrimp all tend to have mercury and other toxic metals such as cadmium, arsenic, lead, and even radioactive waste and other contaminants.
Location 670:
Thiazide diuretics, used to lower blood pressure, contain mercury.
Location 673:
advise anyone with mercury amalgam fillings to have them replaced, preferably by a biological dentist. I don’t recommend doing this all at once, but in stages no more than two fillings at a time.
Location 685:
Mercury poisons enzymes that are required for energy channel function. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and fibromyalgia patients have been found to commonly have abnormal enzymatic processes that affect the sodium-potassium ATPase energy channels, which appear to be a major factor in the condition and for which mercury is a known cause (11).
Location 690:
With hypersensitive people, the new structure is falsely identified by the immune system as a foreign invader. The white blood cells, or lymphocytes, go into attack mode. The activated immune system will up-regulate the activity of certain brain structures (hypothalamus) and adrenal glands.
Location 698:
These methods include: Infrared Saunas. The skin is the largest organ of the body and an excellent eliminative route for mercury. The best way I have found to enhance mercury skin elimination is daily use of an infrared sauna for several years (14). Mineral Supplement Antagonists. Minerals helps to push metals out of the body and are an important part of a metal detox program. Mercury antagonists such as selenium, zinc, chromium, and manganese assist to remove mercury from the body. Selenium is the most important to remove mercury. I have found that almost everyone I test is deficient in selenium. In particular, mercury has a high binding affinity for selenium, which protects cells from damaging free radicals of oxygen. The brain relies on selenium-containing proteins for this antioxidant protection more so than other tissues, which helps explain why mercury is neurotoxic at very low levels (15, 16, 17). This is why it’s very important to maintain selenium levels to reduce mercury levels and damage. Binders. Mercury can be removed by use of Intestinal Metal Detox by Quicksilver and CitriCleanse, which is modified citrus pectin. This natural product made from citrus peels is amazing at absorbing metals like mercury. It’s one of the most effective detox agents of which I’m aware. Chelators. Chelators bind to metals to remove them from the body. Chelators effective for mercury are cilantro extract, chlorella, and Super R-Lipoic Acid. I recommend these to anyone with mercury toxicity. DMSA is a synthetic chelator that is needed by some people to aid in the removal of mercury and other metals that are attracted to this chelator (18). It is much stronger than the natural supplements listed above. Mercury can be difficult to remove from the body with natural supplements alone – especially if a client is ill, has multiple health conditions, has methylation issues, or has weak eliminative detox organs like liver and kidneys. In my opinion, I’d always try natural supplements first, and then move to a synthetic chelator like DMSA if you’ve been unsuccessful after trying to detox your mercury after three years. However, if you have severe mercury toxicity, you may need DMSA to bring levels down to a safe level and then can proceed with more natural means. In these cases, you must work with a medical doctor or experience detox heath professional. Antioxidants. Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant that prevents free radical damage from toxic metal exposures. I prefer the liposomal form of glutathione. N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is an acetylated amino acid and a precursor of glutathione. Both are very effective at removing mercury. Curcumin and garlic are known for removing mercury effectively. I eat these foods as often as I
Location 753:
The main source of arsenic is from conventional (non-organic) chickens and eggs. It is added to chicken feed around the world because it makes chickens grow 50% faster, increasing the amount of money made for the chickens since they bulk up more quickly.
Location 764:
Arsenic is used in mining operations and, sometimes, is just a natural contaminant of drinking water and soils. It is also sold as a pesticide where it can be used on such things as fruits, vegetables, rice, and tobacco. That is why the best thing you can do to avoid arsenic is to eat organic.
Location 771:
Arsenic is a powerful nerve and enzyme poison, though the symptoms of toxicity are often vague.
Location 801:
Arsenic poisons the enzymes that transport nutrients into mitochondria.
Location 802:
Arsenic impairs mitochondrial function by affecting various mitochondrial enzymes. Most of its toxicity results from interacting with sulfhydryl groups of proteins and enzymes, and some from replacing phosphorous in many biochemical reactions.
Location 807:
Research has proven that arsenic directly targets mitochondria (8, 16, 17). This metal causes the depolarization of the mitochondrial membrane, thus altering and compromising the mitochondria’s structure.
Location 814:
Arsenic can be removed from the body with only two supplements. These miracle supplements are Activated Silica and CitriCleanse
Location 819:
Other supplements that help to naturally remove arsenic include: Selenium (5) Sodium R-Lipoic Acid Garlic Glutathione NAC B2 SAMe (S-adenosyl methionine) Taurine
Location 854:
In short: consuming canned goods may put you at greater risk of BPA ingestion than drinking from plastic water bottles!
Location 857:
meaning plain, uncoated, internal surfaces are used for canning – the tin content in the food is increased and the toxicity risks even greater (4).
Location 870:
Your mitochondria have to have a certain charge on the outside of the membrane to function correctly. Tin dispells the charge on the outside of your mitochondria – your cell’s powerhouses that make your body’s energy. If there is no charge on the outside of the mitochondria membrane, they cannot make adequate levels of energy (7).
Location 885:
Besides fatigue, a primary concern with tin is that overexposure may damage the nervous system and cause psychomotor disturbances
Location 917:
Zeolite removes toxic heavy metals, chemicals, VOC’s, pesticides, radioactive toxins, and free radicals without removing vital nutrients. I like ACZ Nano Advanced Zeolite. Zeolites are natural minerals with a unique, complex crystalline structure, made by volcanoes. The Clinoptilolite Zeolite molecule is shaped like a honeycomb, full of cavities and channels. Because zeolite carries a natural negative (-) charge, all of the positively charged (+) toxins bond with the zeolite. The zeolite particles, with the toxic materials attached are then flushed from your body with your urine within 4-6 hours.
Location 932:
Tin is in mercury amalgam fillings, which many people still have in their mouth.
Location 950:
Thallium is a toxic metal that causes serious fatigue. It is added to gasoline and released into the air by car exhaust. For this reason, thallium toxicity is almost always prevalent in those who live in urban environments.
Location 969:
Today, thallium is added to gasoline to serve the same purpose – to prevent knocking in engines and make the engines last much longer.
Location 980:
A 2006 study found that the cruciferous family of vegetables – kale, cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli – to be hyper-accumulators of thallium.
Location 1009:
Thallium requires about two years to dislodge from storage sites in the body.
Location 1014:
recommend taking two of my favorite supplements Activated Silica and CitriCleanse
Location 1017:
Activated Silica serves as a mobilizer of thallium. It removes thallium from the brain, tissues and bones. But then you need a binder to absorb the thallium. CitriCleanse binds to thallium (and other metals and chemicals) and safely removes them from the body.
Location 1022:
The following antagonist supplements can help to rid the body of thallium when taken as part of a comprehensive detox program. Potassium: The strongest antagonist and single most effective agent against thallium is potassium. This is because thallium has a similar charge and ionic ratios to potassium and is distributed in the body much the same way (8, 9). I personally like by Potassium (Citrate) Pure Encapsulations and Ionic Potassium. Prussian Blue: Prussian blue binds to thallium, keeping it within the intestinal tract and preventing it from getting into the rest of the body (3, 5).
Location 1045:
Cesium is an incredibly toxic element that has been unleashed into our environment from nuclear testing and nuclear accidents like the
Location 1047:
Cesium can be a big causative factor in fatigue because it displaces potassium in the body (4). This interferes in numerous processes that affect energy production, namely suppression of enzymes involved in the energy exchange of cells. (11)
Location 1091:
Physiological effects of excessive cesium include heart arrhythmias and displacement of potassium from muscle cells and erythrocytes. Cesium is similar in function to potassium in that it helps to keep a balance of electrical charges between the interior and exterior of cells so that they can perform the functions dependent on those very same electrical charges (1).
Location 1104:
“The direct influence of cesium (137Cs) on the heart is due to its selective accumulation within the myocardial cells. This is due perhaps to the intense operation of the sodium-potassium pump. Since 137Cs is in the same atomic group as potassium, it can easily enter into the cardiomyocyte [cardiac cells]. This is accompanied by the suppression of the activity of the important enzyme creatine phosphokinase (CPK), which is involved in the energy exchange of cells: accumulation, transport, and utilization of high-energy phosphates. CPK catalyzes the reversible phosphorylation reaction, which involves the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to creatine and from phosphocreatine to ADP.” (2) Dr. Bandazhevsky observed that the decrease in activity of creatine phosphokinase (CPK) indicated serious metabolic defects in the energy metabolism of the heart cells.
Location 1115:
The following supplements are potent detoxifiers of cesium: Activated Silica Zeolite Diatomaceous earth CitriCleanse Prussian blue Folium pX
Location 1147:
Lead accumulates and makes its home in our bones, where the body prefers to store it (2). This is done in an effort by the body to protect vital organs. From there, it is released into the blood stream. A special note for women: women’s bones release lead more slowly into the blood stream than men’s. Meaning, lead can continue to be released into the blood long after exposure. This is of particular importance for women whom are pregnant, as the slower release of lead from the bones could negatively impact a developing fetus (3). Additionally, once women reach menopause, they have faster bone cell turnover due to lowered estrogen levels. As a result, the lead stored in their bones begins leaching into their bodies
Location 1188:
lead interferes with a process in the body known as heme synthesis, which then may cause interference in energy metabolism (17). Heme is essential in binding oxygen and distributing it around the body. It’s made in your mitochondria.
Location 1188:
16).
Location 1193:
When you look at lead toxic mitochondria under a microscope, you see that the lead completely surrounds the mitochondria, choking it off. Lead in essence suffocates the mitochondria and any energy it might have been able to produce.
Location 1203:
mentioned that lead also effects hormone production. Lead has endocrine disrupting properties, which interrupts hormone regulation in the body (22).
Location 1205:
Lead builds up in the ovaries, which then causes delays in both growth and development during puberty, as well as reduced fertility cells of the ovary, causing delays in growth and pubertal development and reduced fertility in females.
Location 1240:
The following elements work as potent detoxifiers of lead: Modified Citrus Pectin Sodium R-Lipoic Acid NAC Vitamin C Vitamin E EDTA Cilantro seed oil Taurine IMD Curcumin Garlic DMSA – DMSA is a synthetic, sulfur-containing compound that is FDA approved for the treatment of lead and mercury toxicity both in children and adults. A doctor must prescribe DMSA, but I don’t recommend it because it can be very hard on the kidneys. It’s appropriate, however, in cases of severe toxicity where you need to bring down lead levels quickly. I prefer DMSA suppositories and oral DMSA. I would never recommend IV chelation of DMSA.

MY FAVORITE NATURAL DETOX SUPPLEMENTS
Location 1282:
minerals are key in detoxing the body. Mineral deficiency provides the opportunity for toxic metals to attach themselves to vacant binding sites in the body where minerals should occupy.
Location 1303:
The Mitochondria Detox kit contains: Mitotox – Mitotox is a revolutionary mitochondria energizing and detox agent, engineered utilizing the principles of bioenergetics. It helps to: Remove impurities The micro-mineral solution upgrades mitochondrial function and efficiency Improves energy production Contains correct operating directives for your cells and mitochondria imprinted onto structured water and plant-derived minerals Activated Silica – Activated Silica are a specific form of silica that mobilizes and removes toxic metals from your cells, giving your mitochondria the cleanse it requires to restore your health. Benefits include: Detox of aluminum, arsenic, tin, thallium and cesium Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles Thicker, stronger hair Strengthened nails Promotion of strong, flexible bones Promotion of healthy joints CitriCleanse – CitriCleanse by EcoNugenics is a natural, powdered modified citrus pectin that acts as a powerful binder – absorbing and eliminating hundreds of harmful toxic metals and chemicals from your body. It: Absorbs the toxins the Activated Silica mobilizes Dramatically reduces detox symptoms, making your Mitochondria Detox much more comfortable, even effortless for some Gives your immune system the boost it needs to keep you healthy, regulate bowel movements It’s even shown in some studies to kill cancer cells Dysfunctional mitochondria lead to fatigue and, in many cases, severe chronic fatigue and serious illness (even cancer).
Location 1324:
The Myers Detox Cocktail ingredients include: Liposomal Liquid Iodine – Iodine supports thyroid function and detoxes fluoride, chlorine and mercury that interfere in thyroid function. This special kind of iodine is suspended in liposomes (fats) for maximum absorption and utilization. Therefore you need much less as more absorbs. Coriander Seed Oil (cilantro seed oil) – Coriander is the seed of the cilantro plant. This aromatic fresh-pressed oil detoxes mercury, lead, cadmium, barium, nickel, and other metals from the brain and body. It’s also effective for digestive issues, gut infections, arthritis, fatigue & exhaustion, oily skin, and stomach cramps. The seed contains the most powerful detox substances, which is why I prefer coriander seed oil to other parts of hte cilantra plant. Oceans Alive – A premium blend of two specially cultivated, hand-selected marine phytoplankton strains. Oceans Alive marine phytoplankton is the ultimate food-based multivitamin and multimineral. It has every nutrient required by the human body. It also contains Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) to aid detox of the body. Oceans Alive contains over 7,000 times more SOD than any other source on Earth. SOD is your body’s most powerful defense, and #1 indicator for longevity because it’s your body’s ultimate weapon in cellular detox. Listen to this podcast about Oceans Alive. Read this article on Oceans Alive. Activated Silica – Activated Silica detoxes the metals that cause fatigue: antimony, aluminum, arsenic, cesium, tin and thallium. Hard to detox metals in the bones and the brain are removed when taking this supplement. But if you take too much, it can make you tired. This is because the metals Activated Silica is removing make you tired while they are floating around in the blood waiting for them to be removed. Don’t overdo it! Sensitive people may only tolerate 1-2 drops, as it can make them too tired to take the standard dose.
Location 1340:
Myers Detox Cocktail Doses Activated Silica Natural Factors 6–10 drops – Do 1-2 drops if sensitive Coriander Seed Oill 1ml (about 2 droppers) Oceans Alive Plankton 1-5 ml (1-5 droppers) Liposomal Liquid Iodine 5 tsp (1ml)
Location 1346:
Drink the Myers Detox cocktail once a day 15 minutes before a meal or between meals. This is ideal so that you absorb the ingredients and they are not competing
Location 1349:
Mix the ingredients for the cocktail in about 1-2 ounces of fresh squeezed orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, or pineapple juice. The citric acid in the juice helps to maximize absorption of the Activated Silica.
Location 1369:
what is it? CitriCleanse is digestible, modified citrus pectin. Modified citrus pectin is a complex polysaccharide derived from the pulp and the peel of citrus fruits.
Location 1372:
Modified citrus pectin has been found to aid in the fight against cancer by inhibiting the metastasis of certain cancer cells and even reducing tumor growth (3). In fact, it’s been called “one of the most promising anti-metastatic drugs”. It’s even been reported to impede certain cancers, such as melanoma and prostate carcinoma (2).
Location 1384:
Wendy Recommends: Take 5 mg per day of CitriCleanse. You can take up to 10-15mg if you need extra detox support or relief from detox symptoms. For some, CitriCleanse can cause digestive distress if they take too much.
Location 1396:
Wendy Recommends: Take 6 to 10 drops a day of Activated Silica in a citrus or pineapple juice, which maximizes absorption. If you follow this protocol, it will really help to remove these metals from your body, and eventually you’ll increased energy production.
Location 1399:
I do not advise taking Activated Silica or other detox supplements without a binder. You take Activated Silica to mobilize toxic metals. That gets the metals mobilized from bones, fat, brain, and tissues and floating around in the blood. The next step is to take a binder like CitriCleanse (as we talked about above) to absorb and bind to the toxic metals that we’re mobilizing.
Location 1403:
Folium pX Folium pX is a super antioxidant that I personally use daily. It is comprised of extracts of grape seed, pinecone seeds, and pine needles. The proprietary formula combines plants, herbs, and flowers that contain powerful super-antioxidant oligomeric proanthocyanidans (OPCs).
Location 1411:
Wendy Recommends: Folium pX. Take 3 capsules daily between meals. Take for one month on and one month off for one year.
Location 1419:
It’s helpful before starting a detox to build up your glutathione levels. You can do this by taking liposomal glutathione supplements and also taking foods, herbs, and other supplements that boost glutathione. I recommend coffee enemas, selenium, and NAC help to increase glutathione levels.
Location 1422:
Wendy Recommends: Liposomal Glutathione by Quicksilver Scientific. Take .5 teaspoon; 2.5 ml; 200mg a day.
Location 1429:
Wendy Recommends: Pure Encapsulations NAC. You need about 1200mg per day between meals for detoxification.
Location 1436:
Cilantro/coriander is probably the only effective agent in mobilizing mercury stored in the intracellular space (attached to mitochondria) and in the nucleus of the cell to reverse mercury DNA damage. Because cilantro mobilizes so many toxins, it may flood the connective tissue (where the nerves reside) with metals, so it must be taken with a binder.
Location 1443:
Cilantro taken just before a meal causes the gallbladder to dump bile containing the excreted toxins into the small intestine. The bile release occurs naturally as we are eating and is much enhanced by cilantro.
Location 1446:
Wendy Recommends: Perfect Press Coriander Seed Oil from Activation Products. Take 1ml (about 2 Dropperfuls) a day.
Location 1449:
Lipoic Acid Lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that is vital to detoxing toxic metals, including aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, manganese, and tin.
Location 1454:
I prefer Life Extension Super Lipoic Acid because it is a fat-soluble lipoate. Most other R-lipoic acids and alpha lipoic acids are water-soluble and don’t work nearly as effectively for detox.
Location 1460:
Wendy Recommends: Super R-Lipoic Acid by Life Extension 480 mg per day. Take less if you are sensitive.
Location 1469:
Wendy Recommends: Pure Encapsulations Curcumin. You can take 500-1500 mg per day. This is a good one because it also contains Bioperine® Black Pepper Extract, which may boost the absorption and bioavailability of the curcuminoids in this supplement.
Location 1473:
Selenium is one of those wonderful minerals that detoxes the body. Selenium detoxes mercury, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, and silver.
Location 1477:
Wendy Recommends: Life Extension Se-Methyl L-Selenocysteine. You can take 200-400 mcg per day. Many people are very deficient or very mercury toxic and need more than the normally recommended 200mcg per day. I really like the SE-methyl selenocysteine form in Life Extension. I’ve gotten great results with it in quickly raising levels of selenium. Selenomethionine is good, too.
Location 1493:
Wendy Recommends: EASE by Activation Products magnesium spray. This product contains the highest quality magnesium chloride you can find. The magnesium oils tend to have the cheapest form, which is why they irritate the skin and itch. I’ll pass. EASE is like spraying water on your skin. It can still itch a little if your skin is dry or you are very sensitive. But I like it a LOT better. Jigsaw Magnesium with Sustained Release Technology (magnesium malate). This is my favorite form of oral magnesium. Life Extension Neuro-Mag (magnesium threonate).
Location 1503:
Wendy Recommends: Zinc Gluconate by Pure Encapsulations (liquid) is my favorite form of zinc. 30mg per day. Zinc Bisglycinate by Protocol for Life. This form is chelated, meaning it is attached to an amino acid. These forms of minerals tend to have better absorption. Take 30mg per day.
Location 1514:
Wendy Recommends: Quicksilver Scientific Vitamin C RLA Liposomal. 1000 milligrams daily for nutritional reasons. Take 3,000mg every other day for maximum detox effect. Innate Response Vitamin C. Organic food-based formula containing orange, blueberry, cranberry. 400mg a day.
Location 1523:
Wendy Recommends: Milk Thistle Oil by Activation Products (from seeds). Take ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) 1-2 times per day, with or without food. Liver Life by BioRay. This contains milk thistle seeds as well as mushrooms to open up the liver detox pathways. Take 13 drops 1-2 times per day.
Location 1543:
Wendy Recommends: ACZ Nano Zeolite. Take 10-20 sprays per day. Zeotrex by Global Healing Center. 20 drops per day. This contains parsley and other ingredients that aid detox. Some brands like Cytodetox, a hydrolyzed zeolite, are very strong and must be used with caution. This micronized zeolite penetrates mitochondria and can cross the blood brain barrier. Go very slow with this product. Toxaprevent is a zeolite that is unique in that it doesn’t get absorbed past the colon and digestive tract. It eliminates toxins in the gut.
Location 1556:
Wendy Recommends: Bulletproof Charcoal. Take 2-3 capsules for no more than 2-3 days consecutively. Great to take when drinking alcohol to prevent hangovers.
Location 1567:
You want to be sure to take a cracked cell wall chlorella to be able to absorb
Location 1572:
Wendy Recommends: Biopure Chlorella. Start with 1 gram or 4 tablets 3-4 times a day. You can take up to 3 grams 3-4 times a day when you are trying to do a more intense detox. You can also take in liquid form.
Location 1575:
Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF) is a special extract of the micro-algae chlorella. It is mostly from the cell nucleus of chlorella, a concentration of DNA and RNA.
Location 1580:
Wendy Recommends: Biopure Chlorella Growth Factor. Recommended dosage: 1 capsule of CGF for each 20 tablets of chlorella. It also comes in liquid form.
Location 1582:
Molybdenum Molybdenum is essential for many during a detox. Many people have difficulty metabolizing sulfur compounds, foods and supplements. EDTA EDTA is a synthetic amino acid that is a great best broad-based heavy metal chelator with very few adverse effects. EDTA detoxes aluminum, uranium, beryllium, cadmium, lead, antimony, and manganese.

Wendy Recommends: Kelatox EDTA Suppositories. You use one suppository every other day. These EDTA suppositories offer higher utilization than oral EDTA, of which very little is absorbed. Suppositories also put less strain on the kidneys and liver. The bound metals are excreted through within 24 hours. I would never recommend readers try EDTA for use at home unless they have testing to show they need EDTA and only under the guidance of an experienced medical doctor or heath practitioner that specializes in detox.
